About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder and Credentialing Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in medical coding, specifically in internal medicine, and expertise in credentialing processes.

Qualification:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical coding, preferably in internal medicine
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
• Experience with credentialing processes
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Proficiency in coding systems such as ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient medical records and assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
• Monitor and resolve coding-related denials
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
• Assist with credentialing processes for healthcare providers
• Communicate with insurance companies and credentialing agencies to ensure timely and accurate credentialing
• Maintain credentialing documentation and files
