Job Description

Monks is looking for a Senior Media Buyer based in India who will manage marketing engagement channel programs for one of Monk's top tier global clients.

The Senior Media Buyer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define our processes and work to deliver high-quality marketing campaigns and content through well-managed, on time and on budget projects.   • Working hours:
    • Working days are: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
      • Tuesdays and Wednesdays off
    • Working hours are: 08:00 - 17:00 IST
    • There may be some blackout dates for PTO tied to key client launches and initiatives; however, dates will be provided in advance
  • This role will be hybrid office + remote
    • Office locations: Bangalore or Mumbai

What You'll Do


  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Serve as the main lead and client point-of-contact for campaign monitoring
    • Monitor and deploy campaigns to ensure they have launched on time and are running as intended/correctly
    • Flag any unexpected results for review and work with the relevant teams (e.g. Ops, Eng, etc.) as needed to identify and fix any issues.
    • Update, QA, and deploy email campaigns using proprietary tools and programs developed by Monks or Client Engineering teams.
    • Follow quality assurance plans and protocol to ensure flawless execution and deployment.
    • Work closely with email development partners and escalate issues impacting email production cycle dependencies and deadlines.
    • Secondary Responsibilities:
      • Develop and tactically execute large-scale online campaigns for our client's products
      • Train and provide strategic consulting to client teams
      • Learn, follow, and demonstrate a strong understanding of internal policies and procedures.
      • Provide ongoing management and optimization of these campaigns with a heavy emphasis on tracking and reporting
      • Coordinate appropriately across other channels/teams to ensure smooth integration of online advertising into our client's overall growth strategy
      • Partner closely with the client and Monks teams to help drive success in meeting client goals and with cross-channel leads for integrated campaign program development
      • Build, QA, and launch digital marketing campaigns that live across devices on desktop, mobile, and app.
      • Reporting and optimization of
      • Track required delivery dates of campaign components. Work with stakeholders to compile the relevant content and assets while managing expectations and production schedules.
      • Flag any missing or incorrect components that jeopardize campaign launch, and work with the appropriate teams to track down the missing components.
      • Support strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Escalate issues appropriately when needed.
      • Ensure documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
      • Understand data and targeting requirements specific to client tools, brand and individual programs

    Who We're Looking For

    • Fluency in English is a must have
    • 4+ years of experience in marketing campaign execution and operations, working with email or marketing automation platforms (e.g. Marketo, Mail Chimp, etc.)
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive email design and email scripting (FreeMarker, Salesforce ampscript, Responsys Programming Language, or similar)
    • Understanding of basic performance metrics (e.g. CTR); comfortable reviewing and providing top-line analysis as needed
    • Extremely detail-oriented and organized; works with a precise, process-oriented approach.
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
    • Comfortable in fast-paced environment, navigating uncertainty and prioritizing when needed
    • Ability to work as well independently as within a team
    • Proactive, go-getter attitude; comfortable working autonomously; eager to learn
    • Proficient in Google Suite: Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets or equivalent (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and changes, able to manage moving timelines
    • Sense of humor and strong team orientation
    • Ok and comfortable working with a global team across multiple regions
    • Comfortable working autonomously
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work seamlessly in cross-functional settings and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of experience.
    • Tech savvy with the ability to quickly understand platform tools and data concepts
    • Experience working with CRM's is desired (Salesforce, Oracle, Gamma, etc).
    • Resourceful problem-solver who quickly gathers information and is comfortable with new or proprietary technologies and concepts.
    • Strong understanding of email & data driven marketing strategy, practices and principles. Deep understanding of digital marketing concepts, metrics, tools, technology, KPIs and industry best practices, such as deliverability and sender reputation.
    • Relationship oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills this will have a client-facing component

    Not Mandatory; Nice to have:

    • 3+ years of experience with Google Ads
    • Search certification
    • Creative agency experience
