Job Requirements
1. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical); a Master's degree or MBA (Operation) is a plus. 2. Years of Experience: 4+ years of experience in an engineering role, with a proven track record of leadership and management. 3. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of engineering principles, and project management methodologies, Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the industry. 4. Behavioral Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Director/CEO to develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and growth initiatives. Project Oversight: Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide regular updates to the leadership team on project status and potential challenges. Team Leadership: Oversee the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor junior engineers and facilitate their professional development. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., product development, operations, marketing) to ensure alignment on projects and initiatives. Act as a liaison between engineering and executive leadership to ensure that technical considerations are integrated into business decisions. Financial Oversight: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for engineering projects. Monitor expenditures and provide cost management solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards. Identify potential risks associated with projects and implement strategies to mitigate them. Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare and present reports to the Managing Director/CEO and the Board of Directors, demonstrating the value and impact of engineering initiatives on business performance.
