Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in quality control, with the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, measure parts according to specifications, and handle various measuring instruments. The candidate will mostly be in the field interacting with various manufacturers, especially pressure die casters and Injection Molders, ensuring that incoming parts meet specified quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Drawing Interpretation: Understand and interpret technical drawings to measure parts
according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
Measuring Instruments: Proficiently handle and use various measuring instruments
such as callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.
Supplier Follow-up: Follow up with suppliers for Corrective and Preventive Action
(CAPA) submissions and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
Supplier Process Audits: Conduct supplier process audits to ensure compliance with
quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Containment Actions: Perform containment actions to ensure smooth running of
production lines and minimize the impact of quality issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production,
engineering, and procurement to address quality concerns and drive continuous
improvement.
Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in quality control, preferably in automotive parts
manufacturing.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
Hands-on experience with measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Familiarity with Pressure Die Casting and Injection molding processes.
