About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of sheet metal fabrication products. You will work closely with engineers, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure products meet functional and aesthetic requirements while being manufacturable at cost.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and optimize designs for manufacturability using sheet metal processes
• Design sheet metal components for products such as enclosures, panel industries, server racks, cable trays, and related products
• Create detailed 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks
• Develop and maintain design standards for sheet metal fabrication
• Collaborate with manufacturing and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and customer satisfaction
• Stay up-to-date on the latest sheet metal fabrication techniques and materials

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in sheet metal design and engineering
• Proven experience with SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, bending, and forming
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality drawings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
