The Role
- Design and develop mechanical systems or components.
- Monitor and document the design process, while managing the schedule and budgets for the project.
- Researching other products in the market to generate ideas for improvement.
- Perform any other ad-hoc assignments and other duties assigned by HOD/PIC.
Ideal Profile
- Proven experience 2 - 5 years as a mechanical design engineer, with a focus on developing complex mechanical systems or products
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform simulations and analysis
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality designs within project timelines and budget constraints
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in engineering documentation
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members
