Maximo Functional Testing Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Maximo Functional Testing Specialist with extensive experience in IBM Maximo EAM and MAS8.x applications within the Utilities Industry. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Maximo EAM. The role involves preparing and executing testing strategies, managing test phases, and interacting with various stakeholders. Experience with JIRA and Azure DevOps is required, and familiarity with API and Restful API testing is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Testing Preparation & Execution:

• Prepare and execute System Testing (ST), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cases for IBM Maximo EAM applications.
• Develop and model test data to support different testing phases, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective validation.

1. Test Strategy & Planning:

• Develop detailed Test Strategy and Test Plan documents for Maximo EAM applications, outlining testing objectives, scope, and resource requirements.
• Define testing standards and methodologies to ensure alignment with project goals and industry best practices.

1. Stakeholder Interaction:

• Collaborate effectively with the Development team, Business users, and other stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address any issues or concerns raised during testing phases.

1. Test Management:

• Utilize JIRA and Azure DevOps for managing test cases, tracking defects, and reporting on testing progress.
• Ensure that all testing activities are documented accurately and that results are communicated to relevant stakeholders.

1. Agile Delivery Model:

• Work within an Agile delivery model, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Adapt testing activities to fit Agile methodologies, ensuring timely and iterative delivery of testing outcomes.

1. API & Restful API Testing:

• Conduct API and Restful API testing to ensure proper integration and functionality within Maximo EAM applications.
• Validate API endpoints, response times, and data exchange to confirm seamless system interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience:
• 8-10 years of overall experience in software testing, with at least 5 years of focused experience on IBM Maximo EAM and MAS8.x applications in the Utilities industry.
• Technical Skills:
• IBM Maximo EAM and MAS8.x: Fair knowledge and hands-on experience with these applications, specifically in a utilities context.
• Test Management Tools: Proficient in using JIRA and Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
• API Testing: Experience in testing APIs and Restful APIs to ensure integration and functionality.
• Methodologies:
• Experience working within an Agile delivery model, including iterative development and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders and manage testing activities effectively.
• Proactive in identifying and addressing testing issues, and capable of preparing detailed test documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in IBM Maximo EAM or related testing methodologies.
• Experience with additional testing tools or automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of other enterprise asset management systems or utilities industry applications.
