Role Overview
We are hiring VFX Matte Paint Artists at Junior, Mid, and Senior levels to join our team. Candidates should have Minimum 1 year of experience, depending on the role. Responsibilities include creating detailed matte paintings that blend seamlessly with live-action footage and CG environments, following art direction, and ensuring visual consistency across shots. The role involves collaborating with art directors, analyzing shot requirements, and maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed matte paintings that seamlessly integrate with live-action footage and CG environments.
- Follow art direction and reference materials to achieve the desired look and atmosphere for each shot.
- Maintain visual consistency and quality across multiple shots, ensuring they meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Analyse shot composition, lighting, and technical requirements to determine necessary matte painting elements.
- Utilize advanced digital painting techniques for accurate blending, lighting, and perspective.
- Collaborate with art directors and team members to refine work based on feedback.
- Ensure matte paintings are visually cohesive with other elements like CGI and effects.
- Produce concept art and sketch key frames based on script requirements.
- Enhance or extend existing footage while maintaining continuity in perspective and lighting.
- Provide daily progress updates and incorporate feedback effectively.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Animation, VFX, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in matte painting in the VFX industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in matte painting for live-action and CG environments.
