We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative Mathematics Teacher for primary grades who is passionate about fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based teaching.
Responsibilities
Inquiry-Based Instruction:
- Facilitate interactive and engaging Mathematics lessons that promote curiosity and independent thinking.
- Introduce foundational mathematical concepts through hands-on activities and real-world applications.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Design assessments that evaluate students problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and application of mathematical concepts.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students in their mathematical exploration.
Integration with Technology:
- Integrate age-appropriate technology tools and resources to enhance the inquiry-based learning experience.
- Explore innovative ways to use technology in mathematics instruction to facilitate understanding and application.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-disciplinary connections and integrate mathematics with other subjects.
- Share insights and strategies related to inquiry-based teaching with fellow educators.
Professional Development:
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in mathematics education and inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to continuously enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the elementary school level, with a focus on inquiry-based methodologies.
- Familiarity with the integration of technology in elementary mathematics instruction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
