Role: Material Master Data Expert (Contract Role - 6 Months)

About The Role
Responsible for overseeing Material Master Data activities globally. The scope of work encompasses end to end material master ownership including Material Creation, Maintenance, Extension, Block, Unblock, Activation etc. All materials type are managed by this role finished goods, raw and pack materials, MRO, indirect goods etc. This role will also handle Third Party Service Providers and will be responsible for their performance in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and overall service delivery. The role partners with central / local finance, procurement, and supply chain teams. The role also requires driving various process improvement initiatives working with process excellence team.
Roles & Responsibility
- Product master expert specially for FMCG/CPG products
- Tea products knowledge additional advantage
- SAP MDG knowledge
- Material master fields and validations knowledge
- Material master dictionary creation experience
- Material master end to end processes from R&D to supply chain, procurement, logistics, quality, planning, costing
- Understanding on business rule global as well as local
- Knowledge on GTIN, EAN, Taxonomy, UNSPSC
- Knowledge of product hierarchy for FMCG/CPG products
Stakeholder Management And Key Interfaces
- Reports into MDM Lead
- Head of all regions, procurement leads, and finance controllers
- Factory heads, supply chain team leads
- Third party service providers
- Auditors (Internal and External Audits)
Skills And Experience
- A qualified Material Master Data specialist including Data Governance
- Should have worked specially for FMCG/CPG products.
- Tea products knowledge additional advantage
- Minimum 8+ years experience preferably in FMCG industry
- Operational knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, Ariba
- Extensive experience in SAP MDG for Material Master
- Working knowledge of PLM and Planning systems
- Strong Process and business insights
- Stint in MDM operations preferable
- Stint with Material Master consultancy role is preferable
Professional Qualification / Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with 8 years of Material Master data experience in equivalent organization at least one other global organization with similar industry.
- Strong Working knowledge in SAP MDG
- Working experience in business operations
- Experience of leading major projects
- Working knowledge in running data cleansing projects
