JOB PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Marketing Analyst

Effective Date: Immediate

DEPARTMENT: Sales & Marketing

REPORTS TO: Country Manager / VP- Sale

Summary

The Marking Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting our internal and external clients by providing efficient and timely sales and administrative support.

Responsibilities

2 Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Project Management

  • Involvement in various marketing projects and initiatives in a project leader role.
  • Responsible for the overall initiation, process, organization of teams involved and final develerable with key guidance from Marketing department leaders
  • Take a marketing concept and communicate it, either graphically or in written format, with the right messages to a specific market/audience.

Literature and Giveaway Fulfilment, Management & Reproduction

  • Act as the central contact person to receive all requests for Marketing materials, giveaways, technical publications, etc. from sales reps, international offices/agents and customers;
  • Ensure materials are picked, packed and shipped in a timely manner (personally or organizing temporary help);
  • Maintain an accurate inventory listing of all literatures, giveaways, supplies and re-orders with various suppliers when necessary to ensure adequate supply;
  • Assist with copywriting, editing and proofreading all marketing material;
  • Act as the key liaison with our print/CD suppliers to facilitate reproduction of marketing materials;
  • Drafting and editing content for product brochures, web sites and e-marketing campaigns;
  • Assist in the creation of sales tools such as presentations and competitor fighting guides.

Tradeshow Support

  • Prepare show manuals and process internal payments to suppliers;
  • Package and ship show goods prepare documents required for customs papers;
  • Coordinate shipping items for tradeshows around the world;
  • Control, select and manage our inventory of show product & sample parts;
  • Coordinate tradeshow lead retrievals, promotional and advertising opportunities;
  • Attendance at global tradeshows may be required.

Communications Support

  • Assist in internal publications production and management; Website Management Content, and Relationship/Pivotal maintenance;
  • Draft internal memos, coordinating and publish company e-newsletter, Hotline
  • Ongoing Management of Sales/Marketing Portal and External Press Releases

Competitive Intelligence

  • Gather data by tracking competitive ads and white space;
  • Distribute Press Releases for new products to all magazine publications;
  • Document sales leads through magazine publications, online subscriptions, and customer inquiries;
  • Work with Sales Operations Analysis on market research initiatives.

Marketing Event Coordination

  • Assist in organizing company events;
  • Administer logistics for large customer visits such as local transportation, agendas, catering, meeting room set-up, plant tours, giveaways, and literature materials;
  • Coordinate Tradeshow liaisons such as:
    • Act as main contact for hotel accommodations for all employees in Canada and internationally for the event;
    • Organize and gather all product samples received from agents/offices and customers for tradeshow display;
Other

  • Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements;
  • Ensure ISO guidelines are followed;

Providing services and support to internal and external customers, suppliers

Under the direct guidance from the Marketing Communications Manager, the Marking Support Coordinator assisting the Marketing Team with operational and administrative activities that support established business needs. The incumbent responds to both internal and external customers for marketing support in a timely manner.

Key resources: other people and/or capital and equipment

The incumbent interacts with other team Members to established goals. They will be responsible for communicating to other Team Members and Management when times are not realistic and deadlines will not be met. The incumbent co-ordinates with suppliers deadlines and budget expectations for marketing giveaways, marketing materials etc.

Decision Making

The incumbent of this role has completed the required training and acquired hands-on experience that will allow them to assist customers on basic questions/concerns with guidance from the Marketing Communications Manager. Identifies, researches, makes recommendations, creates cost analysis and meets deadlines regarding tasks/projects such as product launches and sales tools.

Education and Experience

The incumbent of this role must have a College Degree in Marketing, Business is preferred; with minimum of one to two (1-2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required. Previous experience working in Marketing would be helpful, but is not required.

Other required level of technical and/or practical judgment to perform the work :

Ability to act on procedures/policies/documents such as basic customer inquires/concerns; ability to work and communicate effectively with other employees in the organization; and ability to cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

Effort and Work Environment

Physical and Sensory demands are representative of an employee working in a fast-paced office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision requirements are good general vision, ability to distinguish between colours, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The incumbent in this role will work in the office environment and production plant. The noise level is moderate; safety boots and eye protection are required; the working area is climate controlled. May be required to travel infrequently North America and Europe 5%.
