Purpose of This Role: -TheBusiness Development Managerwill be responsible for identifying business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. The role requires proactive sales strategies and effective communication to drive revenue growth.The Business Development Manager will follow up for issuance of contracts and amendments.
Major Responsibilities: -
Networking and Sales Calling
ؠResearch and identify relevant tender opportunities that align with the company's capabilities and strategic goals
ؠNetwork, develop, and maintain contacts with facade consultants and key builders to bid for all major facade projects and develop a pipeline of business opportunities.
ؠMaintain cordial relationship with all existing clients and anticipate any new sales opportunities.
ؠProcure maximum facade contract tenders and submit bids as per sales target with specified timelines.
Tendering and Bidding
ؠLead the preparation of tender submissions, ensuring that all requirements are met and that the proposal is competitive and compelling
ؠWork closely with the estimation team to gather accurate cost estimates, project timelines, and resource needs to include in the bid.
ؠTo liaise internally with various departments like the design, estimation, purchase and execution to ensure all necessary information is procured during the bidding process.
ؠAnalyze market trends and competitor bids to refine strategies and improve the company's bidding approach.
ؠMonitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
ؠPrepare and deliver presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company's strengths and solutions.
ؠEnsure that all bids comply with relevant regulations, quality standards and are submitted within the specified time frame.
ؠ.Be the SPOC for the Client during the tender phase andcontract finalization.
ؠKeep management updated by submitting activity reports, results reports, daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly, territory analysis, etc
Post Bid- Follow up:
ؠEngage with clients post-submission to address any questions and clarify bid details.
ؠNegotiate and use persuasion skills to overcome objections raised by customers.
ؠEncourage client feedback on the proposal to make necessary adjustments before final submission.
ؠCoordinate discussions between the estimation team and clients regarding pricing, scope of the contract changes, and contract terms.
ؠBring the deal to final closure along with the Directorat the final stage.
ؠAssist in drafting the final contract, ensuring all terms are clear and agreed upon by both parties.
Post-Deal Follow-Up:
Onboarding: Ensure a smooth transition from the bidding phase to project initiation, involving both the estimation team and relevant operational teams.
Keep in touch with clients after the deal is closed to foster long-term relationships and potential future opportunities.
Reviewing Contracts and Preparing Synopsis
ؠStudy the LOI/Work order/ Contract Document in details and understand legal implications, tax liabilities, clients required milestone, handover schedule, approved list of supplier material, and BOQ, specifications, drawings as per commercial terms and conditions.
ؠPrepare synopsis of all requirements as per contract document including project completion timelines
ؠIdentify potential risks and liabilities associated with contractual agreements and propose mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests.
ؠPlan the Technical aspects of the contract like Final GFC receipt /Concept & System Sub / Approvals / Shop Drawings Sub / Approvals
ؠFollow up and Review the contracts, including master service agreements, purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents as needed.
Qualification & Experience : -
ؠBE in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferably with MBA in Sales and Marketing
ؠProven experience within the facade industry with at least 7 years++of relevant business development experience.
ؠProficient in reading Auto-cad drawings and MS office esp MS Excel, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
ؠStrong understanding of financial analysis, feasibility studies, and due diligence processes.
ؠExcellentinterpersonal skills with focus onnetworking and relationship-building
ؠProficiency in presentation and communication skills.
ؠStrong sales and negotiation skills
ؠAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
