Job Description

Location: Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai

Experience: 8-12 years+ with leading broking firms in Mumbai

Position Purpose:

The person will be instrumental in setting up the Retail desk for our client. A dynamic individual with strong communication skills is essential to help with the setup. The role also involves managing the Arbitrage desk, ensuring that all orders sent to the exchange meet client requirements (minimum 2-3 orders daily).

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-trade Activities:

  • Limits Setup: Establish trading limits for clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and client agreements.
  • Credit Risk Coordination: Collaborate with the credit risk team to manage credit exposure effectively.
  • Funds/Securities Verification: Confirm the availability of funds or securities before trading.
  • Final Approval: Provide the final green light for account setup and readiness to accept orders.

Post-trade Activities:

  • Position Monitoring: Track client positions vis- -vis broker positions with the exchange to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Centralized Trade Matching (CTM): Engage in trade matching activities during the day to ensure proper trade processing and settlement.

Institutional and Retail Client Management:

  • Retail Clients: Handle the specific needs of Ultra HNI clients in cash equities and derivatives.
  • Institutional Clients: Assist the arbitrage desk to ensure orders are sent correctly and within daily trading limits.

Margin Monitoring:

  • Margin Management: Monitor margins to ensure that exchange positions are secure and compliant with regulatory standards.

Desk Setup and Management:

  • Retail Desk Setup: Play a crucial role in establishing the retail trading desk, requiring proactive and effective communication skills.
  • Arbitrage Desk Management: Oversee the arbitrage desk, ensuring all orders sent to the exchange meet client requirements (minimum 2-3 orders daily).
