Overview of the position:
Skills :
- Strong MS PowerPoint/ Excel as well as other relevant operational skills
- Fluent in English and Tamil languages. Additional basic spoken ability in one or more languages from Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada/Hindi will be a plus
- Strong grasp & understanding of research methodologies
- Qualitative research experience of designing studies, and familiarity of techniques (e.g. FGDs, PI, user research, field research, diary studies and online communities), moderation and data analysis
- Familiarity with quantitative research
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, good communication and presentation skills
- Understands brands and consumers
- Attention to details
- Savvy & creative in terms of effective writing & presentations
- Ability to work with available resources & venture resourcefully in search of information.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute end-to-end market research studies across the various business areas including brief creation, study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and quantitative surveys), analysis and subsequent presentation with recommendations
- Ensure quality and rigor in research design, execution, analysis and reporting
- Design recruitment, questionnaires, and sampling plan
- Conduct recruitments, FGDs, PIs and other aspects of a study independently
- Analyse data and present the findings
- Ability to integrate findings across multiple studies as well as market trends to make recommendations.
- Conduct customized research to understand consumer behaviour, market trends, consumer habits etc
- Competitive intelligence
- Contribute in the overall MR department's research output/reporting and day to day workings
- Liaison with agencies and internal stakeholders for proposals, timely executions, negotiations, etc as and when required.
Education & Experience :
- Graduate / Post Graduate in related field (management, advertising, marketing, communication)
- 1-3 years of MR work experience including in a MR agency and should have handled projects independently
- Strong expertise and experience in designing & executing qualitative research studies independently
- Should have conducted FGDs and PIs and presented findings
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable with multiple data sources (structured, unstructured)
- While we are seeking someone with experience in qualitative research the incumbent will also be expected to work on quantitative research studies so exposure in both will be preferable
