You will be working as Market Intelligence Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting market data to identify trends, opportunities and threats that inform key business decisions including the development of go-to-market strategies, marketing plans and product development plans across a diverse range of industries including mining, metals, pulp & paper, battery manufacturing, cement and industrial software.
Your responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, customer behaviors, competitive landscapes and emerging market opportunities
- Gathering and analyzing market data, industry trends and customer intelligence to identify market opportunities and potential risks
- Conducting regular assessments of competitors strategies, product offerings and pricing to identify areas of opportunity and competitive differentiation
- Gathering data on industry trends, regulatory policies and economic indicators that impact market growth
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide actionable recommendations based on market insights
- Utilizing historical data and current market insights to create accurate forecasts for industry trends, demand fluctuations and competitive shifts
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience more than 10 years in market research, competitive analysis, or related roles within a relevant industry
- Good hands-on experience in market research and analysis, customer analysis, competitive analysis, market sizing and prioritization, strategic recommendations, forecasting and trend prediction reporting and presentation, technology utilization
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as excel or other relevant software
- Familiarity with market research methodologies, data collection techniques and statistical analysis
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively
