Drive and coordinate the Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities at Blade Shop for through
blade manufacturing process to ensure zero customer complaints, robust manufacturing processes and
traceability of materials. Demonstrate appropriate leadership behaviors.
Your Role
- In-depth knowledge about the Steam Turbine Blade manufacturing process and quality
Requirements
- Hands on experience in usage of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and minor trouble
shoot of machine
- Should be able to generate measurement program from 3D Model for inspections. Knowledge
of programming.
- Design and validate inspection protocol to be used on machine
- Ensure all product requirements are met from receipt to dispatch
- Monitor daily inspection activities and NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT as per SNT TC 1A
- Raise flag for any non-conformance/process deviations
- Hands on experience on QM Module of SAP
- Sound knowledge of all machining processes and usage of precision measurement instruments
like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gagues etc..
- Well convergent with manufacturing process like Machining & Assembly of Steam Turbine
Components
- Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations
- Review and approve all quality documents and compile as a EOMR package to external
customer
- Well convergent with component and assembly drawings
- Ready to work in all three shifts
- Should coordinate with Sourcing and Planning for Raw Material traceability
- Support Inspection activities in Machine Shop based on need
- Ensure all instruments used at Blade shop are calibrated and coordinate with OEM for CMM calibration.
- Should be able to conduct/participate in Process Audit/Internal Audit
- Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated
before execution of process
- Review and understand the quality requirements of each product and identify the special
instrument requirement in advance
- Drive Continuous Improvement activities of Blade Shop
- Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing
process/new upcoming projects
- Independently lead the product qualification for any new blade manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications (requirements)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-7 Years of Experience
- Knowledge about usage and minor troubleshooting of CMM
- NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT as per SNT TC 1A
- Well convergent with SAP/MTA/Microsoft Office tools
Desired Qualifications
- NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT as per ISO 9712 (EN Specification) added advantage
