Job Summary
This role is crucial for maintaining the balance between supply and demand, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals.
- Analyze and forecast market trends to anticipate changes in supply and demand.
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.
- Implement and oversee inventory control systems and processes.
Logistics
- Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and improve transportation costs and delivery times.
Supplier Management
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Maintain and improve supplier performance and relationships.
Quality Control
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control processes to minimize defects and returns.
Performance Metrics
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
- Generate regular reports and analysis for senior management.
Cost Management
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Manage the supply chain budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
