Experience : 8-10 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on sales training in a B2B environment. Experience in the electrical industry or a related technical field is highly desirable.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to lead and manage training programs for a B2B electrical sales company. The L&D Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing training strategies to enhance the skills and knowledge of our sales team, ensuring they are equipped to achieve business objectives and meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales training, with a focus on electrical products and solutions, as well as experience in adult learning principles and training program management.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement learning programs tailored to sales professionals in the B2B electrical industry, including product knowledge, sales techniques, customer engagement, and technical skills.
  • Create learning content using a variety of formats (e.g., e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, workshops, webinars, on-the-job training).

Sales Team Development

  • Assess the current skills and capabilities of the sales team and identify gaps that need to be addressed through training.
  • Develop personalized learning paths for different sales roles, including Key Account Managers, Sales Engineers, and Relationship Manager.
  • Deliver training sessions and facilitate learning experiences to improve the team's performance and customer-facing skills.

Sales Training

  • Design and deliver targeted sales training programs to enhance selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques, empowering sales teams to achieve and exceed revenue goals.

Productivity Training

  • Implement productivity-boosting learning initiatives, including time management, prioritization, and efficiency techniques, to drive optimal performance and output across teams.

Culture Training

  • Develop culture-focused training to reinforce company values, promote inclusivity, and foster a sense of belonging, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and vision.

Product And Technical Training

  • Partner with the Product Management and Technical Teams to develop training programs on the company's electrical products, solutions, and services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements to ensure training content remains relevant.

Performance Measurement & Evaluation

  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of training programs (e.g., assessments, feedback, sales performance indicators).
  • Conduct evaluations and make adjustments to improve training content and delivery methods based on feedback and performance data.
  • Collaborative Partnerships:
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership, HR, and other departments to align training programs with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with external training vendors and consultants when necessary to complement in-house training programs.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Manage the company's Learning Management System, including course uploads, tracking progress, and generating reports on training completion and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that training materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring that training initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a strong return on investment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training program development.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage a diverse audience.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Analytical skills for assessing training effectiveness and making data-driven decisions.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
