Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- New Part development using APQP process and Techno-commercial knowledge
- Supporting R&D & Suppliers for performing Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for assembly (DFA) analysis and to provide technical inputs to resolve DFM & DFA concerns during Product & Process development.
- Process planning (Process Flow design, PFMEA, Mfg Line layout) & Quality planning (DVP, PV, MSA, SPC, PPM & Warranty sign off, Safe Launch plan, Agreement of Inspection, Gauge Planning) for all New Part development to achieve with First Time Right & Every Time Right approach.
- Identify the Fixtures, Tooling & Gauges (FTG) required for the development of the part /product to meet design& quality requirements.
- Conduct Supplier process audits, Production Trial Run audit & PPAP Audit to identify gaps and to ensure appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure Quality target compliance of all new part development as per Project Quality Target sign off & Project Milestones
- PPAP approval of parts meeting all Design, Quality, Capacity requirements as per project milestones
- Ensure Robust corrective actions are taken using structured approach for Supplier quality concerns during Build, Validation & Warranty concerns
- Supplier quality improvement by implementing best industry practices
- Continual improvement of Part quality, Supplier performance, System & process using Six Sigma, Kaizen approach.

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
General Requirements
- Hands on experience in Plastics Manufacturing Process such as Injection molding, Roto molding, Blow Molding and SMC composites.
- Knowledge in simulation analysis such as Mold flow analysis.
- Knowledge in Tool, Fixtures & Gauges design and development.
- Expertise in APQP & PPAP process for New product development
- Knowledge on TS16949 Quality Management system
