JOB OVERVIEW: The Business Intelligence & Strategic Insights Manager is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making by providing strategic insights, competitive benchmarking, and market analysis. This role involves analyzing business performance, market trends, and competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities, support M&A initiatives, and guide long-term business strategies. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership, business development, and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that support the company's strategic goals.

Roles And Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking:
- Generate insights on company performance and conduct benchmarking with competitors to identify competitive advantages, gaps, and growth opportunities for the business.
- Conduct inter-firm benchmarking studies of competitors, including strategies, investment plans, M&A initiatives, financials, product portfolios, and pipelines to guide strategic decisions.
Market Analysis & Growth Opportunities
- Analyze clinical pipelines of existing and prospective customers using databases such as Global Data, IQVIA, and Cortellis, focusing on therapeutic areas, geography, molecule types, and stages of development.
- Identify and evaluate new business segments (services, and regions) and potential customers through various approaches, leveraging databases like IQVIA and import-export data.
- Provide insights on funding status, including venture funding, mergers, debt offerings, acquisitions, and service agreements.
Strategic Decision Support
- Conduct detailed analysis on strategic growth areas and present findings to leadership and business unit heads to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Support leadership with strategic insights on M&A deals, including integrating new capabilities or technologies that align with business goals.
CRM Data Insights & Reporting
- Leverage internal CRM data (Salesforce.com) and external data sources to analyze business trends, track RFP outcomes, lost deals, and customer engagements.
- Provide regular reports, including monthly reviews of order book, RFP analysis, and business forecasts, offering actionable insights for business improvement.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Support
- Collaborate with senior leadership, business development, program management and site teams to support company objectives.
- Provide insights and strategic recommendations to support long-term business goals and cross-functional initiatives

- Strategic Planning: Experience in strategic analysis, competitive benchmarking, and supporting business growth initiatives.
- Market Research & Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and industry-specific developments.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and present findings to senior leadership.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and implement strategies for business improvement.
- Data Management & Reporting: Proficiency in utilizing data tools (e.g., Salesforce, IQVIA) and generating clear, insightful reports.
