Steel Melting Shop (SMS) Production Manager
Location: Jharsuguda, Odisha
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Manager for our client's integrated steel plant. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in metallurgy and 10-15 years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee SMS production processes, including furnace operation, ladle refining, and casting.
- Ensure efficient, high-quality steel production, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and optimize processes.
- Lead and support a team of engineers, technicians, and workers.
- Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Quality Control and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in a Steel Melting Shop production role.
- Expertise in steelmaking processes (furnace operation, ladle refining, casting).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
