Job Description

Job Summary

  • We're looking for a good cash subject matter expert to support the delivery of the Cash change agenda at Standard Chartered, with a focus on driving the implementation of Strategic implementations and other Change initiatives across Cash Operations. Key responsibilities will include
    • evaluating the impact of the change
    • supporting the delivery of that change into Cash Operations, including all the relevant documentation and processes required.
    • Preparation of GDOI / Process notes for the scope of change.
    • To provide necessary training to the end users on the system capabilities, functionalities.
    • To provide post go live support to country and operations team on the process, coming out with data metrics, STP /NSTP analysis.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Awareness and understanding of the Cash business strategy and Cash Operations strategic roadmap.
  • Coordinate and (where needed, own / write) the development of all new documentation and activities required for system change and delivery including user stories, testing scripts, and final operating model
  • Determine and develop user requirements (including writing user stories) for systems / platforms in production, to ensure maximum usability and help coordinate UAT on any release
  • Help design, document and maintain system processes both for new systems / platforms, and enhancements required to existing solutions
  • Turn business requirements into user DOIs (Operating Instructions) ahead of implementation
  • Socialise new product development with impacted users with clear communication, using a variety of comms channels and methods as required, including training and education of user population from a product and system perspective
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate at every stage of platform / system development and implementation.
  • To provide necessary training on the new process, system changes to country and operations team.
  • To Track all post, go live production issues, provide necessary data metrics, engage necessary stakeholders to resolve the issues.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
  • Provide strategic solutions to meet client & business requirements.
  • Visualise end product vision and prepare relevant materials to Ops bringing the holistic view of the process changes, product offerings.
  • Support Operations & Technology to drive strategic initiatives and align to business requirements.

Business

  • Domain knowledge of cash as a product offering in Financial Institutions and product role as a pan-bank utility
  • Well versed in product processes, key regulations and guidelines, as well as segment wise variations
  • Support standardization of operational processes.
  • Drive and lead continual experimentation within in respective locations to deliver outcomes that align to the strategy and product backlog.
  • Understand business requirements & exceptions to define process DOI's based on the final product outcomes.
  • Be a change catalyst to support Ops in creating awareness on proposed process flows, operational touch points, exceptions, benefits of the changes etc.
  • To review the capacity model requirements pre and post changes and provide updates to stakeholders.,

Processes

  • Interacting with the technical teams and the country operations stakeholders and users to ensure that the requirements are clear and well understood
  • Turn business requirements into user Process Operating Instructions ahead of implementation
  • Socialise new product development with impacted users with clear communication, using a variety of comms channels and methods as required, including training and education of user population from a product and system perspective
  • Create Process flows, Target Operating model to Ops based on the proposed product changes.
  • Determine process variations and carve out manual touch points and bring in awareness to users for handling the change seamlessly.
  • Co-ordinate with different stakeholders (Ops, Product, PDC, Technology etc.,) to explain proposed flows, gather feedback, incorporate and track them for closure.
  • Should possess clear understanding of both business & technology which will aid in framing good process document.
  • Help design, document and maintain system processes both for new systems / platforms, and enhancements required to existing solutions
  • Collaboration and Country Partner enablement, Adopt partnership model and service journey ownership with country involvement
  • Understand needs from various sources, for example, product, operations and technology teams, existing documents and artefacts, existing applications or external sources
  • Able to interpret other strategic project requirements, and able to articulate impact to local processes
  • Ensure standard documentation, communication, capability updates are completed for changes
  • Support business to improve incremental revenue and commercialise the new payments capabilities socialising with all stakeholders / teams.
  • Organise product demo's and walkthrough's to Ops on the new capabilities, functionalities and create awareness on the changes.
  • Connect with Technology and business users to bridge process gaps / manual touch points and document for further actions.
  • Track observations, open points, issues & defects for project closure and assign action owners with target date.
  • Participate & support change management activities related to UVT implementation activities during Go-live
  • Support post-production queries, raise incident tickets on issues identified in production track for closure with Technology.
  • Guide & assist Ops team on the new changes post implementation and handhold during the initial period until the new changes are settled seamlessly.

  • Self-start continuous learning initiatives that will help in the role and identify learning initiatives for future roles.

Risk Management

  • Adhere to the Bank's risk framework and related policies and standards.
  • Ensure that material risks that are brought to stakeholders attention which affect business processes and critical systems and projects are monitored, managed (to minimise loss and risk), and escalated accordingly.
  • Build in risk control as part of design principles for system enhancements and automated flows.
  • Aware of operational risks and identify required process controls for Cash Management, removing dependency on non-standard processes and EUCs

Governance

  • Responsible for ensuring changes to process are adequately reviewed and captured in existing artefacts
