Job Summary:
Be an integral part of the Land & Permissions team to effectively implement & drive a strategy for
Land acquisition. Managing land acquisition targets, lead generation targets and other KPIs for the development. This position requires a deep understanding of land acquisition, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, community organizations, and other relevant parties/stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Land Acquisition and Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential land parcels for acquisition in line with organizational needs and objectives.
- Conduct due diligence on land titles, land use regulations, and environmental considerations.
- Negotiate land purchase agreements and oversee the acquisition process, including legal and financial aspects.
- Develop and maintain an organized land database, including land parcel details, ownership records, and key documentation.
Liaison and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and external stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, Brokers/Vendors, channel partner and regulatory bodies.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the organization in meetings, hearings, and negotiations related to land and regulatory matters.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on all relevant land and property regulations, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws and regulations regarding land use and acquisition.
Permit and Approval Management:
- Coordinate and expedite the process of obtaining necessary permits and approvals for land development and construction projects.
- Maintain a clear record of permit applications, approvals, and renewals.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports on land-related activities, compliance status, and project progress.
- Maintain accurate records of all land and liaison-related documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Architecture or Civil with 10-15 years of experience in land acquisition and liaison, preferably in Real Estate sector (not mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of land laws, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Well verse AUTOCAD and reading architectural designs
