Job Summary: The Manager, Solar Construction, will be responsible and accountable for the overall management and construction of ground-mounted solar projects (complete electrical side) being executed at various site locations in Khavda, Gujarat, and Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This role requires meeting the targets and timelines set by the organization, forecasting resource requirements, managing a team, ensuring quality and safety standards, and supporting the billing team by providing necessary documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of solar construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient project execution, including resource allocation and scheduling.
- Prepare daily work schedules and assign jobs to subcontractors with function-wise job distribution.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, junior engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Foster a safety-first culture on the construction site.
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Risk Management:
- Analyze and assess risk factors involved during the execution of work and report to the Project Head.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and success.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Constantly monitor and report work progress to the Project Head.
- Prepare daily reports on work progress and plan for the next days schedule.
- Ensure accurate documentation of construction activities for compliance and auditing purposes.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality of construction and workmanship from all contractors meets organizational standards.
- Oversee the quality control and testing of solar installations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Safety Management:
- Maintain the best safety practices at the site with zero accidents and safe man-hours as per organizational targets.
- Implement safety standards and risk mitigation measures on all construction sites.
Support to Billing Team:
- Provide necessary documentation to the billing team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of billing-related documents, including work completion reports and material usage logs.
- Coordinate with the billing team to resolve any discrepancies in billing documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in managing large-scale solar construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems and electrical engineering.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
