Job Description
In your new role you will:
Team Management:
- Lead a team of 8-12 people including technical direction/ramp,training, guide their career development, performance evaluation, andmotivation. (F)
- Develop competency in team to cater present and future programrequirements as aligned with business strategy prepares competenceneed or needed timelines, profiles and baselines competence, identifiesgap and prepares interventions (e.g. trainings) to fill this gap. (F)
- Responsible for performance management setting objectives,performance reviews, periodic 1:1s. (F)
- Identifies technical/managerial ladder potential candidates andnurture them. (F)
- Responsible and accountable for teams deliverables and results withquality. (F)
- Work with IP designers, Concept Engineers and Requirement engineersacross sites to collect requirements for software development/validationactivities. (F)
- Closely work with project and program managers to align BLRactivities with overall program of microcontroller development. (P)
- Create project schedules, from bottoms up, for development/validationcapabilities and drive alignment to overall program schedule. (P)
- Collect requirement from team members, to perform their duties, e.g.trainings, Silicon, HW/SW tools, Debuggers, boards, verification tools,etc., and work with local and cross-site management to providesolutions. (P)
- Work with management on strategic objectives and drive initiatives.(P)
- Defines out-sourcing strategy to meet time, managing outsourcingparties cost and quality targets of program and identifies vendors andmanages them to meet these targets. (P)
- Support evangelization of Infineon microcontrollers and SW productsin universities and other design houses. (P)
- Excel in automotive micro-controller software development/validationusing state of the art tools and methodologies (example: EA or UML baseddevelopment tools, functional and requirement based validationmethodologies) to effectively design and deliver the quality product.(F)
Stakeholders Relationship:
- Build a collaborative environment across different Geos (Munich,Padua etc) and maximize contributions to the organization. (P)
- Expand influence across MC D organization with positive impact. (F)
- Meet or exceed customer expectations. (F)
Leadership and Influence:
- Lead development/validation capabilities team to energize andmotivate. (F)
- Drive initiatives to achieve quality, meet or beat schedule andefficiency. (F)
- Demonstrate results with improvements and deploy processes across MCD organization. (P)
- Escalate issues, with appropriate data, to management to seeimmediate actions. (F)
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Prior experience in Microcontroller Software Development / Validation
- Electrical engineering or similar
- Fluency in English due to working in multi-cultural teams internallyand externally
- Responsibility for sub-project management within the SoftwareDevelopment / Validation team
- Basic knowledge of project management
- Good understanding of own functions and contributions to achievingbusiness objectives
- A high degree of analytical skills is required for softwaredevelopment/validation methodology. Able to drive the team to solveproblems.
- Focus on exchanging complex technical information, but the ability tolead the team and communicate results is necessary.
- Ability to apply a variety of interpersonal skills also at highermanagement levels to effectively direct/persuade / influence others
- Ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple interfaces.
