We are looking for Manager/ Senior Finance - Trade Operations Finance in our team who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, focusing on managing accounts payable and receivable, tracking customer dues, and ensuring smooth communication with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders like banks/NBFCs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting, financial data preparation, drawing Profit and Loss (PL) statements, and bill discounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Day-to-Day Operations:
- Oversee daily trade operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes and improve workflow.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare regular reports on accounts payable and receivable status.
Customer Dues Tracking:
- Monitor and track dues from customers, ensuring timely collections.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
Communication with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Collaborate with various departments (eg, Sales, Finance, Procurement) to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- Facilitate effective communication between internal teams to enhance coordination and productivity.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and financial institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support business objectives.
Accounting and Financial Data Preparation:
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare financial statements, including Profit and Loss (PL) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Profit and Loss (PL) Management:
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Provide regular reports and updates on financial performance to senior management.
What are we looking for
- Minimum of 7 years in trade operations and trade finance roles.
- A qualified CA with a comprehensive understanding of accounting, financial management, and trade finance principles.
- Proven track record in managing trade operations, trade finance, and related functions.
- Experience should include roles involving strategic oversight, operational management, and financial analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, trade loans, and export-import financing.
- Experience in overseeing trade operations, optimizing processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies for trade finance operations, manage risk, and drive financial performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess trade finance
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams, coordinating with various departments, and driving operational excellence
