This position reports to Director - R&D Analytical and Microbiology Operations and is based at Mumbai, India

What you will do
The Manager-R&D Microbiology is responsible for leading Microbiology deliverables for Global Innovation projects and post launch support to enable targeted business growth through empowered team and successful alliance with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders :
Key Responsibilities
Directly responsible for Microbiology project delivery to Global Kenvue R&D sites and leading teams to apply diversified expertise in technical principles and practices in broad microbiology areas or technology
Represent on cross functional project teams as functional expert to share technical requirements, timelines, risk assessments, compliance needs across wide product categories e.g Baby care, Women's Health, Oral care, Skin Health and Beauty, OTC drugs, etc.
Develop new strategies, project charters or proposals to drive innovative solutions, efficiencies, or related initiatives
Ownership of resource management, key performance and quality metrics and end to end lab operations
Drive technical discussions with in-depth knowledge of Quality systems and Regulatory requirements across finished products, raw materials, processes and lab set-ups pertaining to Microbiology domain
Facilitate innovative solutions for product claims and substantiation process especially for microbiology claims
Lead key organizational initiatives or programs at a functional or regional level
Display flexible mindset adaptable to changing needs of business and organizational ways of working, leverage meaningful external relationships and partnerships outside of organization to solve problems to meet business needs
Display inclusive mindset to promote a work environment that leverages diverse perspectives, backgrounds and talent to generate innovative ideas or solutions
Conduct and engage in transparent and constructive conversations, contributing to high-performing teams and strong working relationships
Strong decision-making skills and capable to drive actions in ambiguous or uncertain situations.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Minimum Masters or Ph.D in Microbiology or equivalent stream with minimum 15 years of work experience and minimum 8-10 years of leading teams
Desired Qualifications
Experience of working in GMP set-up and in a Global organization, preferred
Experience of leading/participating in Quality audits, preferred
