About The Role
As a Quality Manager, you will ensure adherence to quality standards, manage budgets, conduct audits and lead process improvements while training and guiding the team to enhance operational efficiency and maintain compliance throughout construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Budgeting
- Prepares recommendations for quality budget preparation
- Tracks expenses to ensure they remain within budget
- Verifies bill payments for all expenses (as per the current corporate limit)
- Quality standards
- Monitors, adheres to and circulates the Monthly Quality Report
- Implements and drives the Digital Quality app for site QC and snagging purposes
- Trains the workforce according to requirements for all civil and finishing works
- Defines and modifies quality standards from the customer's perspective
- Communicates quality standards to project teams and implements them successfully
- Conducts material inspections and approvals as per standards and requirements
- Has working knowledge gained through exposure to different phases of construction
- Understands inter-process handshakes and follows the process for handover or takeover between processes to avoid lapses
- Audit calendar
- Prepares the site for the annual quality audit
- Communicates the date and scope of the audit to the site staff
- Operational quality audits
- Conducts site audits related to process compliance and final quality, along with technical specialists
- Classifies process and product non-compliance and relates the snag list to product non-compliance
- Prepares audit/non-conformance reports and communicates audit insights to the site team through closure meetings
- Follows up on action plans with the project and design teams
- Determines root cause analysis, corrections, corrective actions and preventive actions
- Process
- Complies with company-defined guidelines and processes
- Adheres to project timelines
- Identifies processes/procedures in their work area that need improvement
- Recommends process improvement ideas to streamline efficiency, costs, and productivity
- Undertakes process improvement activities in their work area
- People management and development
- Conducts goal-setting exercises for the role
- Prepares goal sheets
- Defines and sets work objectives for team members
- Balances work allocation within the team
- Conducts weekly quality review meetings and regular performance reviews with the entire team
- Provides guidance and direction to team members
Who are we looking for
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 8-10 years relevant experience in sales in real estate/construction industry
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in budget management and financial tracking
- Experience with quality assurance processes and standards
- Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively
- Knowledge of construction processes and compliance regulations
- Proficiency in digital quality management tools
