Plan and procure Engineering stores spares, capital goods & consumables from Indigenous sources or through Imports in cost effective manner so as to support smooth operation of Plant as per requirement.

	KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)	Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1	Procurement	- Interact with users for their requirement received through indents. - Compare offers for facilitating negotiation - Assist User department in technical evaluation & comparison of bids - Involve in technical & commercial discussions with vendors - Prepare, check and forward orders for signature as per delegation manual - Follow up for timely execution of purchase orders - To carry out following activities for import : - Checking the Custom Tariff and to work out cost - Recommend economically viable sources - Arranging Letter of Credit - Preparation of documents for Custom clearance - Arrange insurance cover - Follow-up activities with clearing agencies.
