Job Description

Responsible for negotiations and executions of substation equipment(bought out items) in material and equipment procurement and bought-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Floats enquiries to perspective bidders with detailed terms and conditions and expected delays
  2. Prepares response analysis from data and past experiences, if any
  3. Negotiates for any deviations from the contract
  4. Assists in final negotiations with vendors
  5. Prepares the final cost / price comparative and cost sheet.
  6. Coordination with all the concerned departments on regular basis
  7. Issues PO to the vendor
  8. Follows up with vendor on regular basis.
  9. Informs Accounts department to application of appropriate clauses in the contract onto deviations, if any
  10. Coordinates with Projects department for their requirements at various project sites.
  11. Analyzes quotes from outsourcing agencies for maintenance of some sites and awards the contract to the agency offering most competitive prices.
  12. Prepares database of equipment suppliers for various application area projects.
  13. Fairly good understanding of taxation structures in various sourcing destinations
  14. Cost modelling from past data bank
  15. Technical/ Commercial ability, evaluation of offers at the first level.
  16. Knowledge about manufacturing range & QR of vendors
  17. Managing vendor relationship at senior level.
Desired qualification:
B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical)
Experience required:
10-12 yrs (B.E.) yrs relevant exp
Key Interactions:
Project manager, Finance & commercial department, suppliers/ vendors, agencies & local authority.
