Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and production lines. This role ensures operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- New Model Introduction & Migration:
- Collaborate with PD, PVE, Manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure smooth integration of new models and migration projects.
- Develop efficient processes and execute strategies to meet project timelines and quality objectives.
- Process Development & Robustness:
- Design robust manufacturing processes to deliver zero-defect products.
- Implement PFMEA, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure process reliability and defect prevention.
- Conduct capability studies (Cpk/Ppk) and implement corrective actions to address process deviations.
- Process Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, focusing on lead time reduction and value-added ratio (VAR) improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement projects, targeting enhanced productivity and cost savings.
- Leverage advanced technologies, including digitization and PLC systems, for process optimization.
- Project Management & Capex Planning:
- Prepare and manage Capex budgets to improve PQCDS (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety).
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of capital projects, from justification to equipment commissioning and SOP finalization.
- Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution:
- Build quality into processes through advanced tools like PFMEA, SPC, CAPA, and PPAP.
- Address chronic and critical quality issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards.
- SAP & Bill of Materials (BOM):
- Utilize SAP for production planning, process management, and material transactions.
- Ensure accurate management and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) to support seamless production processes.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor and train team members to ensure skill development and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster collaboration across teams, including QA, CRE, PVE, and PD.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, including ISO and OHSAS certifications.
- Maintain and enhance adherence to quality systems, including process flow diagrams, control plans, and SOPs.
