- Pricing and Promo Analytics Analyst plays a crucial role in our organization, serving as the analyst responsible for various aspects of price elasticity analysis.
- This role involves tasks related to understanding and assessing price sensitivity, analyzing customer behavior, and supporting pricing strategies.
The key responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst include:
- Conducting market research and other data analysis to understand and gather key price drivers.
- Conducting Price elasticity, Pricing Conjoint and Perceived Value study to provide insights into consumer reactions to pricing changes
- Gaining in-depth understanding of Shopper Behavior for every channel in the region
- Standardizing and simplifying our pricing models and methodologies to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies align with our goals
- Utilizing data-driven insights to improve the overall shopper and user experiences related to pricing
- Contributing to the long-term pricing strategy of the organization and assisting in the development of new pricing approaches
- Pricing and Promo Analytics Analyst leverages analytical skills and tools to support our pricing strategies designed to increase our market share and profitability while enhancing the shopper experience.
Responsibilities - Develop advanced analytics solutions using Machine Learning and statistics to inform pricing and pack architecture decisions and support our long-term strategy.
- Utilize expertise to build Price Elasticity Models for Promoted and Non-promoted SKUs.
- Develop scenarios of pricing and pack architecture using Conjoint study.
- Build simulations on Pricing and Promotions, support in building Promo calendar.
- Identify perceived Value of all SKUs in PepsiCo portfolio and how it compares against competition.
- Support the development of a clear Channel and Customer Pricing Strategy.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing the commercial strategy and game plan to maximize the product mix.
- Determine annual pricing rates based on relevant external and competitive benchmarks.
- Define promotional guidelines and optimal offers, identify promotion frequency to deliver targeted Consumer Value, Effectiveness, and Profitability.
- Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely data in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLA).
- Collaborate with multiple functions to gather insights for action-oriented cause of change analysis.
- Prioritize speed of execution and quality of service delivery over simply meeting SLAs
- Recognize opportunities for improvement in the delivery of work and take proactive action to enhance processes and outcomes.
Qualifications - 6 -9 years of strong experience in Data Analytics; Revenue Management or Sales experience is a plus.
- Experience in managing complex, incomplete, and inconsistent datasets.
- Deep grounding in analytical logic, enabling the translation of complex data into powerful insights.
- Ability to source data from internal and external contacts without detailed process or guidance.
- Proficiency in using PowerPoint to create visually compelling presentations that resonate with senior audiences.
- Familiarity with syndicated data sets (Nielsen/IRI), price and promotion models, trade system data, and financial data is a plus.
- Experience in top-tier consulting or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VBA and Macros) and Alteryx.
- Working proficiency in Python or R Language (preferred)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to build Machine Learning algorithms on forecasting is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or statistics, Masters degree is a plus.
- If the candidate is from Commerce stream, demonstrated acumen on Data Science.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn and utilize PepsiCo software systems.
