The Placement Manager/Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to student placements, including internships and full-time employment. The role involves building relationships with industry partners, organizing campus recruitment drives, and providing career guidance to students. The Placement Manager/Officer will work closely with students, faculty, and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth placement process and high employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Employer Engagement & Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain relationships with companies, industries, and organizations for campus recruitment.
- Regularly engage with recruiters to understand their talent needs and customize placement initiatives accordingly.
- Organize campus visits, recruitment drives, career fairs, and industry interaction events.
Placement Process Management:
- Oversee the entire placement process, including pre-placement talks, interview scheduling, and offer finalization.
- Coordinate logistics for campus interviews and ensure seamless communication between students and recruiters.
- Provide administrative support for placement activities such as application tracking, feedback collection, and offer letter distribution.
Career Counseling & Student Preparation:
- Offer career counseling services to students, including resume reviews, mock interviews, and job search strategies.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and training programs to prepare students for job interviews and professional work environments.
- Provide personalized guidance on career options and trends based on industry requirements.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of student placement data, employer feedback, and placement statistics.
- Prepare detailed reports on placement performance, including employment rates, salary packages, and industry trends.
- Use data insights to improve placement strategies and address gaps in the process.
Internship and Project Coordination:
- Identify and coordinate internship opportunities for students, ensuring alignment with academic requirements.
- Facilitate partnerships with companies offering internships, live projects, and other experiential learning opportunities.
Industry Trends & Research:
- Stay informed on industry trends, job market dynamics, and employer expectations to guide students effectively.
- Research new companies and emerging sectors that may be relevant for student placements.
