What You'll Do
The IT Development Specialist focuses upon the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards.The IT Development Specialist delivers development of programme logic for new applications / products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the Senior IT Development Manager of the Head of Technology.
Role Purpose
- Assess, design new services & enhance existing services for Oracle OSM, ASAP and UIM to ensure reaching the required business needs.
- Support Development team to understand the functionality and help them in delivering the solution.
- Creating/Updating HLD, design specs.
- Collaboratively work with E-2-E and other Domain designers/architects to design complete business functionality.
- Collaborate with the rest of the team to design & implement capability enhancements.
Qualifications
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Technical degree or equivalent.
- Oracle Communications Order and Service Management/Oracle Unified Inventory management/Oracle ASAP.
- Software engineering background
Job Description
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Telco provisioning and orchestration in OSS.
- In-depth understanding of RODOD and RSDOD.
- Knowledge of Voice, Data, Video, Wireless technologies
- Understanding of software design patterns and principles
- Proven ability to work independently; designing, developing, and deploying solutions, and to deliver projects on time with minimal direction.
- Experienced in creating response to RFP's.
- Ability to listen and evaluate all opinions without bias, and contribute to a common culture of excellence.
- Strong communication skills (written, interpersonal, presentation), with the ability to easily and effectively interact and negotiate with business stakeholders
Must Have Skills
- Expert in Oracle OSM, Oracle UIM and Oracle ASAP and worked on Oracle PIPs to integrate OSM with other systems.
- Prior experience in designing, configuring, and implementing E2E solution between the application OSM, ASAP and UIM.
- Should have the understanding and implemented integration of OSM with inventory management and Activation systems.
- Understanding of service cartridges, workflow modelling, Data dictionary, automation framework, order modelling, cartridge implementation, Web services and XML API implementation for OSM Specific Implementation.
- Good understanding of following OSM concepts: Central Order Management (COM), Decomposition rules, In-flight order change management, Service Order Management (SOM), Product specification, product class mappings
- Should have understanding on UIM entities, developing custom ruleset, webservices.
- Must have knowledge about UIM packages and the table structure.
- Should have understanding on ASAP cartridge creation, network elements, custom and atomic service layers.
- Identify areas for improvement in the architecture and development process.
