Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Manager Online Design is to ensure consistent, repeatable videos/ GIFs/ animation and design and execution of ecommerce creative assets and experiences supporting all online channels. He/she will additionally execute high-priority and/or confidential tasks, train & develop visual designers/ video editors and monitor progress toward business and operational targets. He/she will assist, direct and provide leadership to visual designers/ video editors on the team as well as develop & maintain design best practices for the team.
The Manager, Online design ensures complex site operations tasks are consistently executed according to defined processes, while continuously evaluating and improving these processes to drive efficiency and eliminate execution errors. This leader will obsess about the customer, continuously focus on operational excellence, have a bias for action, look at the business analytically, implement at scale and develop a team of exceptional talent. He/she will draw on operations experience, managing workflow across the entire team, own and author business reviews of the team processes, while managing priorities against customer and associate impact to deliver results, often under tight deadlines. This role is key to delivering the Site Operations requests from Online, Marketing and other core partners across the Lowe's enterprise.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Leads a team of visual designers/ video editors responsible for producing creative assets for time sensitive and/or confidential projects as well as assist with project overflow during peak production time frames.
Accountable for design execution within defined processes and timelines; Uses deep and focused knowledge of creative design/ video creation tools to develop best practices for execution and trains Visual Designers/ video editors to execute efficiently in order to meet deliverable deadlines.
Accountable for issue resolution; Serves as the first point of contact for issue escalation and works with Technology, Product and Marketing teams when issue resolution requires systemic deep-dive.
Accountable for regular review and maintenance of video/ creative assets housed in design system libraries; works with team to establish regular review cadence and develops best practices to ensure consistent execution
Accountable for the review and maintenance of Content Management System (CMS); works with team to establish regular review cadence and develops best practices to ensure consistent execution; partners with Product Management and IT to ensure CMS and DAM libraries, toolkits and components are active, functional and optimized.
Responsible for participating in releases (overnight) to support assigned products; represents business needs/user experience at critical decision points
Oversees the execution of pricing changes, marketing banners and spotlight updates, product and promotion configuration modifications, and special catalog and taxonomy changes on the various Lowe's online properties (i.e. lowes.com, iOS apps, Android Apps)
Works closely with other Site Operations teams, UX, Creative and Online teams to ensure all projects are executed accurately and on-time
Manages and develops an online operations team responsible for business operation tools; Identifies business tool set enhancement recommendations and implements operational process improvement solutions
Ensures all Operation Processes and Procedures are maintained and current by staying on top of online trends and translating that to team efforts
Provides creative direction & strategy for visual design/ video creation editing to supporting marketing and merchandising
Years of Experience:
8+ years of overall work experience
5+ years of online design experience
3+ years of people management experience
Minimum 4 years of retail/ E-commerce experience
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate in any Video Creation/ Editing, Visual Design, UX Design, Product Design
Preference will be given to candidates with certification in website design for E-commerce/retail industries
Skill Set Required
Strong E-commerce, online/omnichannel retail experience
Competence on Video Creation/Editing, Creative design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Figma and etc.
Experience in 2 or more of the following: project/ program management, product marketing, Video Design/ Creation, UX design, Creative
Experience on usage of Video, GIF, Animation based content for site content enhancement
Demonstrated delivery of business results, including in high-pressure situations and a dynamic environment.
Excellent time-management, organizational and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated experience of cross-functional working (with multiple partners) and across geographies (US) in a large organization
Customer obsession and understanding of site/creative metrics
Strong execution skills and able to drive operational excellence.
Ability to connect the dots and understand working of systems like Content Management, Site updates and testing, etc.
Excellent verbal, written and technical communication skills enabling presentation of concepts and ideas
Highly proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
A positive attitude and extreme attention to detail
Secondary Skills (desired)
Site Content Management Systems (CMS) and tools knowledge
Passion for leveraging new technologies such as AI and Generative AI for creative design
