Descriptions of Key Responsibilities/ Tasks:
- To maintain and develop optimize relationship with carriers both regional and local level
- To negotiate with our core carriers for pricing and contracts
- To file for group and overseas agents on core carriers
- To promote our service contracts to business partners
- To handle rate enquiries from cp networks/agents for defined trade lane
- To handle RFQ/Tender rate enquiry for defined region or trade lane
- To share market knowledge including SCFI on weekly basis for ocean freight (FEWB)
- To support origin and destination offices/agents to solve rate filing related issues with carriers at regional level for core carriers
- To collect and analyze market trends, carriers services and formulate procurement strategies
- To monitor the performance of the carriers in terms of FCL and strive for service reliability & continuous improvement
- To monitor POL's loading commitments for core carriers vs POL's shipment forecast
- To plan, direct and meet budgeted targets in service level commitment, process efficiency and cost effectiveness and ensure continuous growth for the company
- To communicate FIS HQ procurement & Head of Procurement ASPAC about ever changing carrier and market situations
- To work closely and co-ordinate with FIS HQ & Head of Procurement ASPAC to achieve one team one goal
- To assist set up the ASPAC Procurement guidelines and procedures in order to cope with the business growth
- To prepare reports and analysis for ocean freight market trend
- To streamline current working process to produce efficiency and an aggressive teamwork spirit
- To prepare ad hoc lifting reports
To take up additional assignments/tasks as required to meet with the Company needs .
Minimum Education /Qualifications/Experience
- Degree/Diploma holder in Business Administration/Logistics/Purchasing/Operations Management or equivalent with over 6 years management level experiences of the industry.
Special Knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in computer operation (MS Word and Excel)
Personal Qualification
- Significant knowledge of ocean carriers
- Excellent contacts to ocean carriers and maritime service providers
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills
- Ability in procurement contract construction
- Ability to lead and organize
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Commercial mindset
- Dynamic, proactive, self starter and can do attitude
- Willing to travel
