Brief Job Description:
Litigation management
- Managing company s litigation, attending court matters and other departmental proceedings.
- Coordination and follow- ups with external counsels and review/ vet various submissions in the
- ongoing cases/ proceedings.
- Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with external lawyers and advice
- management accordingly.
- Maintaining internal legal monthly MIS for litigation and other compliances.
Legal risk
- Review and provide legal advice on MOUs, Commercial Contracts, and tender documents.
- Drafting of Legal Notices/ replies, legal documentation.
- Identifying legal issues and risks that may affect the business and suggest ways & means to
- the management to mitigate risks.
- Regular research of legal judgments relating to business of the company.
Policy development
- Review and advise management on legal implications.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements and ensure that they are in compliance with all
- statutory or legal requirements.
- Provide legal support to the Company business functions.
- Electricity Regulations
- To remain updated about Electricity Act and Regulations by State Regulatory Committees and
- update the management accordingly.
Required Skills and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of Legal Acts and Regulatory Laws.
- Excellent communication, Negotiation, Drafting & Verbal briefings skills.
