The Production Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily production activities at our food processing facility. This role ensures that all production operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations. The Production Manager will lead the production team, optimize processes, manage resources, and work closely with other departments to achieve production goals.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Management:
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize downtime.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in product demand or availability of raw materials.
- Quality Assurance & Food Safety:
- Ensure production operations comply with quality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.) and food safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet specification standards.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and train production staff, ensuring clear communication of goals, procedures, and safety practices.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate development opportunities for team members.
- Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is regularly serviced and maintained.
- Inventory & Resource Management:
- Oversee raw material and finished product inventories, coordinating with the procurement and inventory teams.
- Ensure all materials are available to support production schedules, while maintaining cost control.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on production output, quality metrics, and efficiency goals.
- Maintain accurate production and compliance records, ensuring they are readily accessible for audits or inspections.

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a production or operations role within the food industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
