Job Summary
Shall be responsible to oversee and manage the IT infrastructure at our pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Baddi. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing IT operations. The role involves leading a team of IT support executives, ensuring the smooth operation of network and server infrastructure, and maintaining the highest levels of system uptime and security.
Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT support executives, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) and server infrastructure (physical and virtual).
- Network Administration: Manage network security, performance, and troubleshooting. Ensure optimal network connectivity and reliability.
- Server Administration: Manage server hardware, software, and applications. Implement and maintain server security measures.
- Capacity Planning: Proactively assess IT infrastructure capacity and performance to ensure it meets business needs and plan for future growth.
- IT Security: Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure resilience in the event of system failures or other emergencies.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Problem Resolution: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues.
- Project Management: Participate in IT projects, ensuring successful implementation and integration with existing infrastructure.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and industry standards (e.g., GMP, GXP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in network and server administration, including routing, switching, firewalls, virtualization, and server operating systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Certifications in network and server administration
- Experience with ITIL frameworks.
Working Conditions
This position is based at our pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Baddi and requires on-site presence. The role may involve occasional after-hours and weekend work to address IT emergencies.
