Job Description:
As the Manager - International Sales at The Ideas Exchange, you will lead our efforts to drive international business growth, expand our client base, and establish lasting partnerships. Your role will involve strategizing and executing sales initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of international projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Strategy:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential markets and prospects for selling the events.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate international markets and achieve sales targets.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing international clients.
Actively prospect and acquire new international clients by showcasing our event and exhibition offerings and tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with internal teams, including design, marketing, and project management, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management, summarizing sales activities, achievements, and challenges.
Agent Management:
Appoint agents in various countries and negotiate and finalise the contracts with them
Work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance and adherence to company policies and regulations.
Customer Insights and Feedback:
Gather feedback from international clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations.
Utilize client insights to tailor our offerings and improve our services, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum 2 years of successful experience in international sales within the events and exhibition industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and expanding business into new international markets.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading a sales team to success.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to travel internationally as needed.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Understanding of cultural differences and business practices in various international markets.
