The Tax team ensures that the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives and complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Activities may include undertaking research; evaluating the legality and tax effectiveness of current and future business activities; preparing and submitting tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports; maintaining tax records; and corresponding with external tax agencies or consultants.
Job Description
Responsible for East and West region for Indirect Tax department - Lead all Indirect Taxation matters of the company such as VAT/CST, Goods and Service Tax ( GST ) etc
Drafting / reviewing of Writ / appeals with Tribunal , High court and Supreme court
Tax planning- Formation and implementation of Tax -efficient strategies.
Responsible for Procedural compliance with Tax laws such as filing of periodical returns, replies/ submissions to enquiries from the department & issuance of Withholding Tax Certificates
Monitoring & advising on preparation for various assessments and litigation proceeding with tax authorities
Work closely with Tax officers & external consultants on various Assessment & Appellate proceedings and make submissions or giving the necessary directions and information to consultants, as may be necessary from time to time.
Responsible for giving various tax advice to internal customers on various matters such GST/ VAT implications on special projects, procurement / Logistics Marketing etc.
Vetting and finalising company agreements viz., lease rental
Build a risk free , compliant and responsive organization from long term perspective
Skilled in Classification GST Payments , Returns & Assessments , Job work Statutory Forms ,
GST Refunds / Deposit from various authorities
E way bill and IRN controlling through PWC tool.
E Invoicing Controlling and reconciliation on pan India basis.
GST Input Tax credit reconciliation with GSTR2A using PWC and coordination with GFC / Commercial / Factory Finance / Procurement / SCM to close the open items
Skills Required
Strong leadership and managerial skills;
Excellent relationship management and communication skills necessary for interaction with the various authorities and negotiating parties;
Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience with, laws dealing with government and/or commercial contract administration and negotiation, preparation and administration;
Ability to provide independent advice (orally and in writing) on technical matters;
Demonstrate success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation matters;
