Role Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep domain expertise in Service Provisioning & Activation within BSS/OSS in the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the product lifecycle of service activation capabilities that ensure seamless customer onboarding and provisioning across mobile, fixed-line, and converged services. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to optimize provisioning workflows, improve customer experiences, and ensure operational efficiency.
This role plays a critical part in enabling streamlined service activation, integration with network systems, and ensuring that all provisioning aligns with business goals and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for service provisioning and activation.
- Lead the development of scalable service activation workflows that integrate seamlessly with mobile, fixed-line, and FMC (Fixed-Mobile Convergence) networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, customer success) to define and drive product strategies for provisioning and activation, ensuring these align with market needs and operator requirements.
- Work on improving provisioning efficiency by automating manual processes and ensuring real-time integration with network systems (e.g., HLR/HSS, PCRF, IMS).
- Develop detailed product roadmaps and user stories, translating high-level business requirements into specific product features that enhance the activation journey.
- Monitor KPIs such as provisioning success rates, activation times, and service uptime, ensuring continuous improvement of the platform's service activation processes.
- Align closely with telecom operator customers, gathering feedback and insights to ensure the platform meets their provisioning and activation needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for service provisioning, activation, and telecom-specific requirements, influencing internal stakeholders to align with the product vision.
- Ensure seamless integration with BSS/OSS systems to support a unified customer experience from order management to provisioning and activation.
Job Requirements
- 10 + years of experience in product management, with a focus on customer migration strategies and enterprise SaaS platforms in the telecom industry.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA education preferred.
- Strong understanding of telecom networks (e.g., 3G/4G/5G, Fiber, IMS) and integration with network systems (e.g., HLR/HSS, PCRF, Billing, and Charging systems).
- Deep experience in BSS platforms covering mobile, fixed-line, and converged services.
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to draw meaningful conclusions, distill complex data into actionable insights, and present findings in a compelling manner.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business results through data-driven decision-making.
- Comfortable with fast-moving deliverables and timelines.
- Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity and managing senior stakeholder expectations.
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with regional and functional leaders.
