Position Overview
This role is responsible for assisting with the development of innovative solutions for clients, supporting the end-to-end bid process, and supporting strategic initiatives to align with the organization's long-term goals. This role focuses on ensuring compelling and competitive bids, while also contributing to overall business strategy by identifying opportunities for growth, product development, and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Solutions (40%):
- Solution Design & Customization: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, sales, operations, and technical experts) to design tailored solutions that meet the specific requirements of clients and align with their strategic objectives.
- Market Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to ensure the company remains ahead of market demands. Conduct in-depth research & analysis on prospective clients & healthcare industry (Payer).
- Account Strategy: Conduct due diligence on existing accounts, identify potential growth opportunities, and assist in developing client strategies to expand market share and increase revenue.
- Create compelling storyboards, impactful solution presentations, capability/sales pitches to enable the sales process.
- Assist in creating marketing collaterals, case studies, product demonstrations, product videos & supporting material to enable solution selling & business development activities.
Bid Management (50%):
- Bid Process Management: Support the full bid process, from initial opportunity assessment through to proposal submission. Ensure that all bids are completed on time, comply with client requirements, and are competitively priced. Understand the RFXs scope, client pain points, EXL's capabilities, product portfolio, engagement models & help design winning value proposition for the customer.
- Bid Strategy & Development: Support the bid management process for new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational capabilities. Develop compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals in response to RFPs and RFIs.
- Proposal Writing & Documentation: Prepare high-quality bid documents, including executive summaries, solution overviews, pricing, and delivery models. Ensure all proposals are consistent with the company's brand, messaging, and standards. Maintain a comprehensive proposal database, extracting best practices, and improving templates and processes to streamline bid success tracking and enhance efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal departments, including product, sales, legal, and finance teams, to gather the necessary input for bids. Facilitate bid reviews and approvals to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Post-Bid Review & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving bid management processes, including better use of tools, more efficient workflows, and enhanced collaboration across teams, while conducting post-bid evaluations and lessons learned reviews to continuously optimize processes and align strategies for future bids.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred from a top tier university
Skills
- 4-5 years of experience in a pre-sales or marketing or research role, preferably within a Health-tech company.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, and financial structures (including value-based care, fee-for-service, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to understand client problems, solve complex business problems, and develop solutions /proposals that fulfill client needs
- Familiarity with healthcare IT solutions and digital health technologies.
- Proficient in using Excel and presentation tools for proposals and presentations (e.g., VISIO, PowerPoint, FIGMA)
