Roles and Responsibilities:
- Key partner to Head of Engineering with a primary goal of driving product cost structure down.
- Owns a portion of the product cost roadmap and cost reduction cadence to drive alignment and accountability across Engineering and Supply Chain organizations.
- Provides financial analysis and insights to inform decision making including should-costing for bill of materials and CAPEX investment ROI assessment.
- Create and manage short- and longer-term financial forecast for Engineering organization.
- Partners with Finance and Engineering leadership to prepare board materials, presentations, and monthly reporting.
- Develops metrics to track business unit-specific and company-wide trends, identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels with a bias towards driving action.
- Enables an analytical, financial approach to influence strategic decision-making across the company.
Education and Skills Required: -
- Bachelor's degree required; business, accounting, engineering, finance, management, or economics preferred.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in finance, including strategic planning, project management and decision making, is desired.
- Engineering and/or engineering finance background preferred.
- Experience in the energy, industrial equipment, technology hardware, or manufacturing sector preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.
- Proficient with accounting software, Dynamics and Business Central is a plus.
- Working experience with financial planning software.
- Demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, and research.
- Past success in leading teams, effectively working cross-functionally, demonstrating strong people skills, and consensus building.
