MANAGER
Department: Environmental Health & Safety
Overview: Responsible for leading our comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program across all our locations Head Office, Manufacturing Plants, and Warehouses - ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees, while minimizing our environmental impact. As a multi-site manager, travel will involve one week spent across all the separate locations on alternating basis
Scope of Work:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive EHS management system across all locations, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and best practices
- Lead the EHS team and provide ongoing training and development to ensure all employees understand and adhere to EHS protocols
- Conduct regular EHS program audits and inspections at all locations, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or areas for improvement
- Oversee compliance with all applicable environmental, fire & safety, health & hygiene, and work safety regulations at all locations
- Manage permit applications, renewals, and reporting requirements to ensure timely submissions to regulatory agencies
- Stay up-to-date on evolving EHS regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes to the program
- Proactively identify and assess potential EHS risks across all locations, developing and implementing mitigation strategies
- Investigate EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for all facilities
- Effectively communicate EHS policies, procedures, and best practices to employees at all levels across all locations
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, operations, HR) to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all aspects of business activity
- Liaise effectively with regulatory agencies and external partners on EHS matters
- Develop and implement initiatives to minimize the company's environmental footprint, promoting resource conservation and pollution prevention
- Drive continuous improvement in the EHS program, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and sustainability
- Troubleshooting & suggestive actions, in coordination with HOD
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Industry: Preferred - Textile Chemicals, Water Treatment Chemicals, Performance Chemicals (Silicones for non-textile), Hygiene/Cleaning Chemicals, Pulp & Paper Chemicals
Qualifications: B.Sc or B.Tech (Environmental Science / Safety Engineering) / other similar qualifications

Pay: 70,000.00 - 82,000.00 per month
