About the Role:
The Manager of Marketplace E-commerce will be responsible for managing and driving the company's growth and presence across various online marketplaces (such as Amazon, Flipkart, and others) in India. This role involves overseeing all aspects of e-commerce marketplace operations, from developing and executing sales strategies to optimizing product listings and enhancing customer engagement. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize visibility, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the highly competitive Home appliance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketplace Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for growth on key marketplaces, including Amazon, Flipkart, and other relevant e-commerce platforms.
- Conduct competitive analysis, identify trends, and use insights to optimize product positioning.
- Create annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans to meet growth objectives and drive profitability.
- Product Listings & Catalog Management:
- Manage and optimize product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, pricing, images, and specifications.
- Enhance product visibility through SEO optimization, keyword planning, and A+ content on platforms.
- Oversee catalog updates and product launches, maintaining a consistent brand image and accurate information.
- Sales & Performance Analysis:
- Monitor sales performance, identifying top-selling SKUs and areas for improvement.
- Track and analyze metrics like conversion rates, sales growth, return on ad spend, and customer feedback.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports and provide actionable insights to improve KPIs.
- Inventory & Order Management:
- Collaborate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels across marketplaces.
- Implement measures to reduce stockouts, overstock situations, and optimize fulfillment strategies.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any logistics-related issues with marketplaces.
- Marketing & Promotions:
- Develop and execute marketplace-specific promotional campaigns, including discounts, deals, and product bundling.
- Work closely with digital marketing teams to leverage paid ads, sponsored listings, and display ads.
- Collaborate with marketplace account managers to drive visibility and take advantage of promotional opportunities.
- Customer Experience & Feedback:
- Ensure positive customer experiences by responding to queries, reviews, and feedback in a timely manner.
- Track customer satisfaction metrics, including ratings and reviews, and implement actions to improve.
- Lead initiatives to resolve customer complaints and enhance after-sales support across marketplaces.
Requirements
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in e-commerce, specifically in marketplace management for consumer goods or kitchen appliances.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing P&L for products on marketplaces.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce best practices, SEO, and digital marketing in a B2C environment.
- Proficiency in using marketplace tools like Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, and third-party analytics tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing industry dynamics.
