About The Role
Seeking
MBA in Agriculture & Min 2 years of experience in an Agriculture operations and familiarity with related key KPIs (Yield, Storage costs, etc) along with digital skills. It is about Data, processes digitalization and digital communication. This role requires understanding of McCain agriculture business practice and operations, and ability to leverage the power of Data. Moreover, various digital tools (current and considering future possibilities) for delivering the Digital Transformation business goals. This position will have an opportunity to shape the future landscape of data analytics, Digital in Agriculture India, along with improving user experience. Until then the role with help the team for ensuring smooth operations with current company approved software's.
McCain India agriculture team is also using few external software's for operations. This role will work to identify possibilities for improvement, ensuring smooth operations of that software.
McCain India agriculture has lot of existing data. The role will assist Ag functional head, and respective sub-function managers with database management and analysis.
The role will help the agriculture team to upgrade their digitalization skills to utilize company software efficiently.
This role will report to Director Agriculture and will be based out of Plant (Mehsana Gujarat)
Responsibility
- Actively participate in the McCain People Processes and ensure activities 100% completeness within agreed timeframes.
- Partner with GM, Global & Regional Agriculture team agriculture in gathering, documenting and obtaining sign- off process information, Data structures and documenting in define templates (e.g. swim lanes flowchart, Activity statements) and SMART business and functional requirements aligned with our standards.
- Responsible for developing and implementing digital strategies to improve agricultural operations productivity, efficiency and sustainability.
- Required to conduct market research to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the agriculture sector, and use the insights gained to inform digital strategies and solutions.
- They will need to ensure that data collected through digital platforms is kept secure and confidential, and that privacy regulations are adhered to
- Lead the Business Change Management activities to efficiently execute the current internal and 3rd party softwares and planned operational transformation. Be the change agent by partnering with multi-disciplinary agriculture teams and Coordinating with stakeholders, other functions (Finance, HR, IS etc) for the change management activities.
- Responsible for raising issues and risks if it affects the project delivery or Business case objectives, proactively resolving the issues and risks and escalating issues, when required. On request required to project management projects of small to medium complexity for Business Activity.
- The Agriculture Digitalization Manager will need to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital initiatives and make adjustments as needed to ensure that they are achieving their intended goals.
- Plan, design or get it designed, and share the key agriculture communications internally and externally.
- Organize appropriate user training for people to adopt the change for process and technology.
- Responsible for providing training and support to farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders on the use of digital technologies and platforms.
- Responsible for collaboration for data collection, cleaning, analysis, visualization, reporting to help decision-making.
About You
- MBA in Agriculture & Min 2 years of experience in a Agriculture operations and familiarity with related key KPIs (Yield, Storage costs, etc) along with digital skills.
- Experience working with BI and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Micro strategy, Qlik, Tableau)
- Experience working with Farmer Relationship Management tools, Fields/Farm activity management tools, Satellite Imaging & Analysis, cold storage management solution, Raw scheduling tools, Ag Operations management tools (contracts, Receiving, Invoicing etc) etc.
- Experience with Agriculture IIOT will be an advantage.
