Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Design and development of Front axle & Rear axle systems for small commercial vehicle.
- Responsible for design and development of complete front axle ensuring product requirement, wheel alignment parameters and vehicle dynamics.
- Responsible for complete design and development of rear axle including banjo beam, gears, axle shaft, wheel ends, seals etc
- Lead component and system Quality, Cost and Delivery target setting, compatibility, and adherence.
- Manage the design, development and delivery of the front and rear axle systems
- Manage the integration of front and rear axle with Chassis Systems: Suspension, Steering, Subframes, Powertrain Mounts and Wheels & Tyres.
- Create system archetypes and component development roadmaps for future vehicle cycle planning.
- Ensure technical best practice documentation, design manuals and testing procedures are appropriately created and maintained to ensure consistency and robust failure mode avoidance.
- Ensure all failure mode avoidance activities, commodity planning, design progression and DVP testing is completed to achieve Final Engineering Sign Off in line with timing constraints.

General Requirements
- Should have Front axle and Rear axle system design knowledge in both 3 and 4 wheelers
- Detailed knowledge and experience of I beam & Banjo design and development , Front axle and Rear axle systems in Sub 4 tonne LCV Both ICE & EV vehicles
- Should be proficient in forging, casting and sheet metal parts design and development.
- Strong knowledge on material selection of forging and casting parts.
- Proficiency in homologation requirements both domestic and export vehicle
- Knowledge on Catia, MATLAB Simulink, Kinematics & ADAMS.
