Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting within our company. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. The Corporate Accounting Manager will collaborate with various departments, including finance, accounting, marketing, and audit teams, to compile and analyze financial data for external reporting purposes and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the organization. This position will be responsible for preparing and reviewing regulatory filings, external financial statements, and internal management reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, overseeing tasks such as preparing schedules, analyzing accounts, and investigating variances. Additionally, take charge of the external audit process, serving as the primary liaison between the company and external auditors, actively involved in preparing schedules, analyzing accounts, and providing necessary supporting documentation.
- Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage a team of accountants, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and recruiting new talent.
- Oversee the preparation and review of all regulatory filings including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and registration statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP standards and SEC regulations.
- Develop and implement processes for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial KPI reporting and enhance/improve MIS financial statements.
- Evaluate existing data systems and provide recommendations for automating financial reporting.
- Introduce new processes, tools, and techniques to improve the timeliness and accuracy of management information reporting.
- Manage end-to-end adherence to internal controls over financial reporting and SOX compliance.
Qualifications:
- Be a qualified CPA.
- Have 3 - 6 years of experience in an accounting manager role or progressive financial analysis experience, with a preference for experience in accounting under US GAAP.
- Have in-depth knowledge of GAAP standards, financial planning, analysis role & SEC Regulations.
- Have excellent written, verbal communication as well as presentation skills.
- Be highly proficient in MS Excel, accounting/reporting software, financial databases, and automated reporting process.
- Be familiar with introducing new processes and software to improve MIS.
- Possess sharp analytical & problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Have proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
NOTE: The candidate should be based in Bangalore and comfortable with working in the office five days a week.
