We are looking for a Manager Communications and Knowledge to join our team. You will be responsible for strengthening the organization's reach and impact by supporting the communication of programmatic achievements, values and goals to external stakeholders.
Duties And Responsibilities
Communications & Knowledge
- Support the design and execution of the communication strategy for DA's entrepreneurship promotion and livelihoods work
- Create engaging content for digital platforms, newsletters, reports, presentations, and donor communication
- Curating articles, blog posts, reports, and other collaterals for communication
- Managing website and social media handles identify target audiences, create campaigns, amplify stories, along with monitoring engagement metrics across all platforms
- Develop and maintain engagement strategies for current and potential donors
- Capture stories from the ground with the support of program teams for case stories
- Help in Influencing knowledge through effective communications with the help of articles, case studies, reports, workshops, and webinars on entrepreneurship at the grassroots
Knowledge Management
- Collect good practices and innovation from across projects and share with the knowledge unit to facilitate generation of insights and cross-learning.
- Build knowledge-sharing processes with programme partners and external agencies
- Track progress in the policy and financial landscape at the State level.
- Maintain a repository of knowledge and communication products, photographs, etc.
Skills & Competencies
The candidate should demonstrate: -
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Develop communication and knowledge products to deliver on the communication strategy
- Produce quality documents using MS Office Applications and digital communication tools such as Canva etc.
- Understanding of social media platforms and passionate about making a social impa ct
Work Experience
The candidate should possess:-
- Minimum 4 years (with a Master's degree) or 6 years (with a Bachelor's degree) of relevant experience in communications, marketing, journalism, academia or knowledge dissemination for rural livelihoods and entrepreneurship projects.
- Demonstrated experience working in a communications role with an emphasis on drafting outreach and positioning, writing, executing, and managing programme communications.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure messaging is relevant, concise, and engaging.
- Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools and technique
- Experience in multi-stakeholder coordination especially with civil society organizations, government and multilateral organizations.
Contract Duration
For 2.5 years, including 6 months probation (extendable for another 2 years depending on performance and funding availability)
